The Toronto Lawn Tennis Club has long been regarded as one of Canada’s premiere tennis facilities. The same can be said for our squash section which has 3 glass-backed international courts, a multi-colored doubles court, and one of the most active, dynamic and successful programs in the country.
Andrew Thompson, Mark Porter and Will Malmo, oversee our program of over 350 adults and juniors. A variety of House Leagues, Round Robins, ladders, clinics, lessons, camps and tournaments are offered to provide all players, from outright beginners to advanced, the opportunity to improve and enjoy their squash in a fun and social environment.
The Toronto Lawn has a strong tradition of helping juniors reach the highest levels of the game. In addition to our program producing many top ranked provincial and national level players over the years, several have also gone on to play for some of the world’s most distinguished educational institutions like Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, Cambridge, Oxford, Vassar, St. Lawrence, Amherst, McGill, Queens, Western and University of Toronto. The Toronto Lawn is home to many top Canadian Junior Players including Julien Gosset: 2017 Ontario Junior Champion, Alexi Gosset: 2014 National Championship finalist, Jack Greenwood: 2013 Ontario U17 Junior Champion and Ella Baldwin: 2015 Ontario Junior Championships U13 Champion.
On the adult front, the Toronto Lawn is also home to some of Canada’s best singles and doubles squash players including the current Canadian Squash Champion: Nick Sachvie, former Canadian Women’s Champion: Marnie Baizley, 2010 Canadian Doubles Champion Seanna Keating, former World #10, two-time Canadian Champion and Pan American double Gold medalist Graham Ryding, as well as 6-time Canadian Champion Shahier Razik.
The club also boasts four Toronto and District League teams including a “Division 1” singles team, a Women’s A doubles team, and several other singles, doubles and junior teams. All players, from beginner to the most experienced will find the squash games and activities they are looking for at the Toronto Lawn.
